Beginner Gymnastics
In this class, gymnasts focus on core and arm strength, along with the coordination needed for foundational skills such as headstands, handstands, cartwheels, and forward rolls—the building blocks of gymnastics.
They’ll practice hanging, swinging, and supporting themselves on the bars to develop the strength needed for pullovers. On the beam, gymnasts improve balance and coordination with exercises like walking, jumping, and kicking, progressing toward turns and leaps. Vault work begins with running technique, skipping, and hurdling drills, leading into jump-ups and squat-ons. Every athlete progresses at their own pace, supported by our professional coaching staff, who provide encouragement and positive reinforcement.
Intermediate Gymnastics
Our recreational classes are designed to build on skills and progress from previous levels, fostering continued growth. In the Intermediate class, gymnasts will focus on building strength and flexibility as they learn backward rolls, backbends, and kick-overs. With the strength to complete a pull-over, gymnasts can now focus on casting and back hip circles on the bars.
On the beam, a renewed emphasis on balance and coordination through walking, jumping, and turning builds confidence, leading to new skills like levers and handstands. Vault work continues with proper running technique, and students begin practicing handstand flat-backs.
Kinder Bears
Kindergarten
The Kinder Bears program is an exciting, fun-filled next step in your child’s gymnastics journey! Here, they’ll take their first solo steps on the high beam and swing from the ‘Big Kids Bar.’
This is an age of discovery that will keep your child excited to see what’s next. Kinder Bears is where children begin setting their own goals and celebrating their accomplishments with pride.
Boys Gymnastics
Our Boys’ Gymnastics class focuses on building strength, coordination, and agility in a fun, supportive environment. Tailored to the unique skills needed for male gymnasts, athletes will work on foundational skills like headstands, handstands, cartwheels, and forward and backward rolls—essential building blocks of gymnastics.
They’ll spend time on the rings, high-bar, and parallel bars, practicing hanging, swinging, and supporting themselves to develop the strength for pull-overs, inverted hangs, and straddle travels. Coordination skills improve through bell swings on the pommel horse and walking circle drills on the dome. Vault training emphasizes running technique, skipping, and hurdling drills, progressing toward jump-ups and squat-ons.
Advanced Gymnastics
In this class, gymnasts will progress from backbends and kick-overs to walkover skills as they are individually ready. They will learn handstand forward rolls and begin practicing round-offs. As athletes build core and arm strength, they will advance to glide swings and mill circles on the bars.
Handstands remain a key focus on the beam, where they’ll work on 3/4 handstands and cartwheel-to-handstand dismounts. At this level, gymnasts will also begin learning handspring vaults and practice blocking off their hands in a handstand.
